Choice of encryption levels. Apply 40-bit or 128-bit encryption to your PDF documents.

User and owner passwords. Set a user password to control who may view, print, or modify a document, and an owner password to control who may change security settings.

Two types of digital signatures. Apply visible or invisible (blind) signatures to your files.

Choice of default or custom seal. For visible signatures, use your company logo, handwritten signature, or other custom graphic. Adjust the size and position of the signature text to achieve the best fit with whatever seal you use.

Signature field creation. Add a signature field to a document and simultaneously apply a visible signature to it, or leave the field blank for signing at another time.

Signature certificates. Certificate information in a PKCS #12 file is used to digitally sign the document.

Signature verification. Use Adobe Acrobat or Adobe Reader to verify your signatures.

Modes of Operation

You can run SecurSign in a variety of ways:

Basic operations. The simplest way to run SecurSign is from the command line with option flags to assign security settings.

Automation options. Use SecurSign as an integral part of your Web server to encrypt and sign documents on the fly before they are delivered over a network. In an electronic document workflow, SecurSign can be scripted for multistage processing and used with Appligent’s other products as part of a complete PDF workflow solution.

Optional Web service. Expose SecurSign functionality to your entire network with APConductor, a separate Appligent Web service product. Use it to programmatically pass the function parameters SecurSign needs via a single SOAP (Simple Object Access Protocol) call.

SecurSign is compatible with PDF 1.2 and higher.
